commitment.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleAs a Construction and
Facilities Controller, you will monitor, analyze, follow up, and
control the efficiencies and costs of the new, rebuilding, and
consolidation projects and facilities running costs for all sales
markets in the Americas. The role will assist the Construction &
Facilities departments with reporting, budgeting, & target setting.
You work with all brands (H&M, COS, & Other Stories) and
support the collaboration in the local Expansion function.This
hybrid role reports into our Business Controller C&F and is
based out of New York, NY.A Day in the LifeWorking at H&M means
no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the
following responsibilities*
- Develops & implements methods and systems to increase
efficiency and decrease costs
- Compiles and maintains capital expenditure data within FDW/LIMA
(SAP)
- Provides training to all Expansion functions on reporting and
account tracking requirements
- Understands the basis of the approved budget and establishes
cost controls in the project life cycle
- Facilitates meetings with project managers to understand
forecasted costs with any associated risks
- Maintains change order log integrity for all States/Regions for
all sales markets in Region Americas
- Acts as a liaison between C&F Managers and accounting to
reconcile actuals versus forecast
- Represents construction function as a core team member of the
rebuild planning committee
- Ensures all routines are followed for rebuild projects along
with critical path timeline
- Assists project team during the close out process when
discrepancies arise
- Tracks project (or contract specific) financial KPIs clearly
and precisely
- Generates both internal and external reports for top
management
- Creates annual budget and assists in goal setting along with
Construction & Facilities
- Manages and monitors the financial control system of the
Facilities department
- Conducts monthly cost follow-up meetings with Regional C&F
Managers to ensure proper cost awareness and actions
- Manages and controls invoicing for Facilities
- Carries out spot-checks/audits on projects, invoices, and
contracts to ensure all relevant information is in place per
H&M standard guidelines
- Oversees all tenders to ensure proper corporate governance is
compiled with and that all tenders employ a fair process
- Oversees the Asset tools, reports ensuring asset data is
collected to keep reports & tools updated
- Manages the oversite of our Facilities Ticket System (Service
Channel/Planon) as the "Super User"
- Utilizes Service Channel Analytics as needed to support the
C&F Managers with oversite of work orders, spend
- Conducts an annual check of all main vendors' financial
stability to reduce risk to store projects
- Reports on capital expenditures more than $150 million.
- Required travel up to 10% of timeQualificationsWho You Are:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or
Finance or equivalent work experience
- 5+ year experience in Accounting and Finance as a Controller or
Assistant Controller
- Proficient in MS Office, intermediate to advanced skills with
Excel
- Thorough, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and follow up on various projects
- Good stress resistance and capability to work in a fast-paced
environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3 years of budgeting experience, including P&L,
forecasting, etc.
- Must have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of accounting
and finance practices
- Ability to analyze and balance business need and cost
consciousness

range is $112,811-$126,912 annually***This job posting highlights
